AnyBodyCan - Mission, Values & Values.
MISSION
To
reduce social & economic exclusion by encouraging people to ‘be
enterprising’
AIMS
AND OBJECTIVES
-
To
create employment opportunities for disabled and otherwise
disadvantaged people
-
To
assist in the development of an “Enterprise and Entrepreneurial
Culture” throughout all sectors of the economy
-
To
work in partnership with other agencies and organisations which
promote the social and economic inclusion of people who are disabled
or otherwise disadvantaged
-
To
be at all times:
MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES
-
We
are a “people-based” organisation that believes
compelling results come from the actions of motivated people working
together toward a shared purpose. People come first, not structure,
equipment or other assets.
-
We
are an “ecological” organisation where everything is
interdependent, and actions taken in one area are likely to have
effects (intended or not) on other aspects of the organisation.
-
We
are an “organic” organisation that will develop over
time, according to natural processes, based on how (and how well) it
is nurtured.
-
We
are an “holistic” organisation with a ‘big picture’
purpose. We work to ensure that the organisation fits well into the
environment in which it operates.
STATEMENT OF VALUES
We
are an organisation within which: -
-
The notion of full citizenship and inclusion for all people is
paramount
-
We look beyond the mere satisfying of needs, to fulfilling the
potential of our members and ourselves.
-
The various barriers to full participation are identified and
removed from all aspects of our activities and services.
-
The 7 (seven) principles articulated by the Nolan Committee on
Standards in Public Life are recognised, namely: selflessness,
integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and
leadership.
